Caption: These structures are the modern version of the traditional 'buddle'. The fine particles are suspended in water and run over the buddle, allowing gravity to separate the tin mineral cassiterite, from the waste, or 'gangue'. In the distance is the village of Brea and on the horizon the South Crofty tin works.
