Caption: With a beam weighing over 52 tons this is the largest surviving beam engine in Cornwall. It was built in 1892 by Harvey and Co of Hayle for the Carn Brea Mines and was re-erected at East Pool in 1924. To the right is the wood and brass lagging of the 90-inch (2.25m) cylinder.
